I don't particularly like the Fall 2008 collection of young Alexis Mabille, mainly because he puts no thought whatsoever into the footwear that must accompany his feminine ensembles. I hope he figures this out before the spring. I am, however, drawn to a couple of his men's getups- partly because they are in pastels although it's a fall collection, and partly because, well, I have a history of dating gay men. I feel the same attraction to these women's monochrome suits that Riccardo Tisci did for Givenchy (another collection that over all, I don't particularly care for). Maybe I have control issues and only looking at one (ugly) color makes me feel good.
