NOTHING GOLDEN

Okay, again, I apologize for the shoddy quality & mixing of this recording, it's just intended as a demo to get some idea of the harmonies. (I'm getting a new fancy digital microphone for my birthday, imminently. Then, it's on.) I hid this amid another post a few months ago, but now I have a scanned copy of the shape-note score, so I'll put it here with the Robert Frost lyrics. There's a downloadable PDF file here if you don't like jay-pegs.

NOTHING GOLDEN

Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.

Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.
