Anonymous said...: well, I guess the first thing I have to say is that it is I, Grainne, who drew and posted these things, and not S.Sandrigon or Olaf or any of the other lovely contributors here, who are my dear friends.

I posted these drawings because of my sense that the readers of this blog may find them worth looking at for any number of reasons.

I made these drawings because I have been feeling compelled to make some of my art specifically acknowledge what I see as a shift to a paradigm that many of us humans have begun to live in just over the period of the last 5-8 years, in which the role of technology in mediating, expanding, or obstructing human relationships has expanded dramatically and become what I view as the essential "zeitgeist". These drawings are meant to reflect upon my thoughts and my feelings about this.

I assumed a "professional" had done them or that somebody copied them off pics off the web. The one that perplexes me the most (comparatively) is the one with the two people dancing.
